This Privacy Policy explains how Car News ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our iOS application. Car News is a news-reading app and does not require you to create an account.

Information we do not collect

We do not require registration and do not collect your name, email address, or other contact information directly. We do not operate any server-side user accounts.

Information collected automatically

Car News is supported by advertising served through Google AdMob. To show ads, AdMob and its partners may collect and use device identifiers (such as your device's advertising identifier) for the purpose of serving and measuring ads, including personalized ads where permitted.

On iOS, personalized advertising only occurs if you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt.
Before any ad-related data collection, the App presents Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent flow, which lets you choose your ad preferences, including in regions where consent is required (e.g. the EEA and UK).
You can change or withdraw tracking permission at any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Information stored on your device

Articles you bookmark ("Saved") are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is not transmitted to us and is removed if you delete the App.

News content

Article content shown in the App is retrieved from our news backend for display purposes. Reading the App's feed does not require you to submit any personal information.

Third-party services

The App uses the following third-party service:

Google AdMob / Google User Messaging Platform — for displaying ads and managing ad-related consent.

These providers may collect information as described in their own privacy policies, linked above.

Children's privacy

Car News is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can address it.

Your choices

Decline App Tracking Transparency when prompted to opt out of personalized advertising identifiers.
Adjust your ad consent choices at any point where the App's consent flow is presented again (e.g. after reinstalling).
Delete the App to remove all locally saved data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
